Clare A Keating
Award Winning Author
Clare Keating has been a Registered Nurse for over 40 years as well as an award-winning memoir author. Her books, To Dance in the Rain, A Mother and Daughter’s Journey of Hope and Healing published in 2014 and Thinking of Better Days, due out by the end of 2021, are the perfect blend of two of Clare’s passions: writing and caregiving. Both titles were triggered by significant and life-changing events that have allowed Clare to combine her years of medical experience with her award-winning writing style.
Dedication
This website is for all of us to share; I believe you will find it interesting, informative and helpful.
I would like, though, to specifically dedicate it …
To the near 800,000 of us who experience a stroke each year in the US, as well as our families, loved ones and caregivers.
I wish you all the very best as you make your way back and continue along your new and at times unfamiliar path. I hope that your struggles will be understood and respected and that you will be encouraged by those who love and care for you.
For those who continue to fight the good fight, I would encourage you to never give up hope!
Thinking of Better Days
I am in the process of releasing my second title, Thinking of Better Days, and am so glad that you stopped by to check out the website! I believe this book will be an important addition to your collection. The official release date for Thinking of Better Days will be October 29, 2022, National Stroke Awareness Day.
This book is not only my story, and what it has been like to live after a stroke but offers a new and hopeful perspective on dealing with this sudden, life changing and serious medical condition. Incidentally, there are more positives in this story than you would think.
I feel like this website can be an extension of the book in that it affords an opportunity to share more information and support, as well as inspiration and even a tad of motivation toward living a healthier life.
As you read, you will likely discover transformative stories and ideas as well as tons of resources on a variety of stroke related topics. Through this site you will be able to interact with others through our blog, link in with other stroke blogs, learn about a variety of stroke related information in our monthly ‘Mind Matters’ newsletter and join with us to demote the fifth leading cause of death in the US today.
Stroke is beatable. Let’s work together to make this a reality, for as many of us as we can.
Please feel free to browse around the site; it is packed with of all kinds of interesting info. I would be happy to answer any of your questions and please feel free to connect on social media, to leave a comment, ask a question or share an experience. I would be most happy though, if you would join me in enjoying this thing, we call life! Oh, and of course… buy the book!
As we speak, I am scraping together all manner of info to include in our maiden edition of the ‘Thinking of Better Days Newsletter’. I would invite you to stop by and see the latest news on Thinking of Better Days. As always, I would invite you to share information that you would like us to know about, and perhaps we can pass along some of that to our readers.
I’ll be keeping you all updated on the latest book news, including where the book is available for purchase as it makes its way out into the world. I’ll also share reviews and accolades, speaking engagements, book signings and Author Talks as well as updates on my 2022 Fundraiser for the American Stroke Association, “Highways, Byways and Pathways.”
The newsletter will also include some of the latest medical information about stroke prevention and neurological rehabilitation with links to articles that could be helpful and interesting to stroke survivors and their families.
Will be talking soon!
